Author Visit

The Manatee Bay PTA is proud to introduce award winning author and photographer Michael P. O’Neill.
For the past 16 years, he has traveled extensively as a photographer and writer, concentrating primarily on sea life and environmental issues. His work, widely published, aims to educate and to communicate to others the beauty, diversity and fragility of the oceans - and the urgent need to protect them.
Mr. O’Neill will be visiting Manatee Bay this fall. His presentation will focus on Marine Biology, geography, conservation, science, writing and the importance of a good education.  A slide show and a demonstration of scuba equipment and underwater cameras will also be part of Mr. O’Neill’s presentation, focusing on Math & Science.

Mr. O’Neill will have 6 books available for purchase. Each book will be signed and personalized.  A few of Mr. O’Neill’s books are: Let’s explore Coral Reefs, Shark Encounters, Fishy Friends, and Ocean Magic.

Order forms will be sent home from school one month before Mr. O’Neill’s visit to Manatee Bay.
